Francois Gissy, known as the "rocket man" breaks the bicycle speed world record when he reached a quarter of a mile in less than seven seconds.
This weird but awesome daredevil cyclist, Gissy, smashed the world bicycle speed record using his rocket-powered bicycle at 207mph in just 7 seconds.
He used a stripped-down adapted bike equipped with three rocket engines at the motor racing circuit in Le Catallet achieving the world record.
Arnold Neracher, a friend, designed the bicycle which registered the 207mph world record just 4.8 seconds after the bike's launch.
A video of the bizarre stunt was posted to YouTube using the rear-mounted camera on the bike.
A Ferrari was no match to the bicycle as it accelerates at frightening velocity leaving the supercar behind.
The rockets made it easier for Francois Gissy as he did not have to do the pedaling.
