The estimated volume of edible food wastage is at 1.3 billion tons, with annual direct economic loss amounting to 750 million US dollars, according to the Food and Agriculture Organization. Due to their country's struggling economic situation and where majority of them survives on a less than $2 daily budget, poor Haiti people resorted to making cookies out of mud just to live and satisfy their aching stomachs.

FRIED RAT? KFC says it's just a big Hoax

A man from California recently made waves on Facebook after posting a weird image of an oddly shaped cutlet that he claims to have received in a meal from a Los Angeles KFC on Friday. The photo had been shared more than 121,000 times and counting since then.

 

 

Devorise Dixon, 25, mentioned on Facebook that he found the rat-looking cutlet rubbery upon having a bit on it. He then claimed to have taken it back to the KFC restaurant where he bought it. Dixon said that the restaurant manager apologized and offered him a free meal as compensation for the inconvenience he had with the fried rat.

 

 

KFC defended themselves by saying that Dixon is misleading the public and that the object in question is just a piece of breaded chicken.

"A customer has made a serious claim against KFC and refuses to cooperate in the investigation," KFC said in a statement sent to The Huffington Post. "Based on this, and the fact that he refuses to allow anyone to see the product, we are left to believe that he intended to deceive the public with this hoax and we are considering all options."

KFC also said that they tried contacting Dixon but he refused to talk directly or through an attorney.

"Our chicken tenders often vary in size and shape and this just happened to be an oddly shaped one," KFC spokesman Rodrigo Coronel told HuffPost in an email. He emailed the following image, which zooms in on a photo from Dixon's Instagram account.

First ever successful PENIS transplant onto 21-year-old man incredibly done by South African doctors

STELLENBOSCH, South Africa - A successful penis transplant was successfully done, said by a South African university on Friday.

The transplant lasted for nine hours last December and was conducted by specialists from the faculty of medicine and health services at the University of Stellenbosch. The said patient had his penis amputated three years ago following complications from a circumcision that was performed in his late teens, the university mentioned.

The university near Cape Town in southwestern South Africa said that the 21-year-old patient has miraculously made a full recovery and has regained all function in the newly transplanted organ.

It was at least the second time this weird medical procedure had been attempted. The university did not disclose any details of the organ donor but they said "finding a donor was one of the major challenges."

The university said that it's planning for nine more patients to receive penis transplants in the coming days.

This KFC's edible coffee cups have been launched to mark the company's new Seattle's Best Coffee range - made from Fairtrade, 100% Arabica beans.

Christian Poincheval, 65, said that he came up with the strange idea when his friends made a fart-plagued dinner.

"We were at the table with friends and after a hearty meal, our farts were so smelly we nearly suffocated," he said on his website."

"The winds were not very pleasant for our fellow diners. Something had to be done."

The inventor previously sold pills to scent farts with rose or violet fragrances, but now, he has brought out the sweetie chocolate version just in time for this coming Christmas.

These weird fart fragrance pills sells for €9.99 - £7.90 which also offers benefits including the reduction of gas and bloating.

"It’s a nice present for the festive season," he told newspaper Ouest France.

Poincheval started selling the pills in 2006 using natural ingredients. He uses his website pilulepet.com to sell directly to the public.

He added: "Some buy them because they have problems with flatulence and some buy them as a joke to send to their friends. Christmas always sees a surge in sales."

The pills are apparently made of "mixed vegetable charcoal, fennel, lithothamne (seaweed), propolis (plant resin) and blueberry."

On May 2014, an unknown patient approached Dr. Vikram Yadav, a Faizabad, India dermatologist complaining of a buzzing in his ear. What Dr. Yadav discovered was really bizarre!

Based on Dr. Yadav, the mad had an aural myasis. This condition is caused when a person's nose or ears are infected with fly larvae. People who are suffering from this weird illness often notice a buzzing sound in their ears along with a smelly discharge in the area, according to the Daily Mail.

The operation of removing the worm-like maggots from the man's ear was filmed and the video went viral after a British newspaper posted it on their website.

Dr. Yadav, also known as "the King of Blackheads" because of his strange numbers of pimple-popping videos told that the maggots looked like a wiggling mass deep in the man's ear.

Good thing, the man consulted Dr. Yadav right away because the maggots were already feeding off his inner ear flesh and would have burrowed into his brain and killed him. What Dr. Yadav did in the procedure was suffocating the bugs first so they fled away to the entrance of the patient's ear. Afterwards, he removed the maggots one or two at a time with tweezers.

According to the Mirror, aural myasis is a common condition in tropical and subtropical areas and has a fatality rate of eight percent.

The most targeted patients are kids who are younger than 10 and very ill adults.

"If anybody sleeps, a child, an old person, and you see any houseflies there, put some cloth on their face so they don't enter into the orifices and lay their eggs," Yadav said, according to HNGN.com.

A woman, Juliana Ulyanova, 22, was shocked when she found out something moving inside her Big N' Tasty burger!

Ulyanova said she ordered the burger from McDonald's at the Europark Shopping Centre in Arkhangelsk, north-western Russia. Her Big N' Tasty burger gave her the shock of her life when she saw the spider moving in it.

Juliana said: "I was just going to take a bite when Daria screamed and pointed at my burger.

"There sitting on a piece of cheese and partially hidden by some lettuce was this horrible black spider.

"Although it was smaller than my finger nail, it wasn’t much smaller and it was pitch black and fat like a hairy olive.

"I couldn’t believe it."

The girls took a photograph of the bizarre spider in the burger and used it to complain to McDonald's staff.

Just August this year, four McDonald's restaurants in Russian capital Moscow were shut down due to "sanitary violations," which was seen as some sort of a retaliation for the West's sanctions over Russia being involve in Ukraine's crisis.

Russia's consumer investigator said that they would continue the inspections in other McDonald's restaurants across the country.

In a statement, McDonald's said it was studying the watchdog's complaints to "determine the actions necessary to open our restaurants to customers as soon as possible".

If these reports are true and to be believed, authorities have discovered almost 90% of the location they have inspected showed 'Human Meat' while 65% has horse flesh.

Agent Lloyd Harrison from FBI said, "The worst part of it is, that not only is it 'Human Meat,' it's child meat. The body parts were found across USA factories and were deemed too small to be adult body parts. This is truly horrible...."
