The estimated volume of edible food wastage is at 1.3 billion tons, with annual direct economic loss amounting to 750 million US dollars, according to the Food and Agriculture Organization. Think about how huge this amount of wasted food is. It can even feed these poor people in Haiti for a few years.

Due to their country's struggling economic situation and where majority of them survives on a less than $2 daily budget, poor Haiti people resorted to making cookies out of mud just to live and satisfy their aching stomachs.

Street children CAGED to keep Philippine streets clean for the Pope visit

Street children as young as five were put behind bars alongside adult criminals in a cynical drive to smarten up the Philippine's capital, ahead of a visit by Pope Francis on January 15, 2015.

A MailOnline investigation has found that hundreds of boys and girls have been rounded up from doorways and roadsides by police officials and were put behind bars in recent weeks to make the poverty-racked city of Manila more presentable when Pope Francis arrives. 

These terrified children are locked up in the filthy detention centres where they sleep on concrete floors. Investigation results say that many of them are beaten or abused by older inmates and adult prisoners and, in some cases, starved and chained into pillars.

An open air mass that will be conducted by Pope Francis in Manila's Rizal Park is expected to be attended by six million people.

MailOnline found dozens of street children locked up in appalling conditions alongside adult criminals in Manila, where a senior official admitted there had been an intensive round-up by police and government workers to make sure they are not seen by Pope Francis.

They gained rare access to a detention centre by accompanying Nobel Peace Prize-nominated Irish missionary Father Shay Cullen, 71, as he freed a boy aged around seven and took him to his Preda Foundation shelter for children 100 miles away in Subic Bay.

Mak-Mak, whose legs and body were riddled with scabies, was picked up three weeks ago and spent Christmas and the New Year in a concrete pen at the centre hidden away in the slums of Manila's Paranaque district which –with grotesque irony – is named House of Hope.

There, guiltless children are kept behind bars, made to go to the toilet in buckets and fed leftovers which they eat from the floor. There is no schooling or entertainment for the youngsters who are held sometimes for months before being freed.

Adult convicts are kept in a pen next to separate compounds holding boys and girls and freely pass between the pens at certain times of the day, inmates and regular visitors to the centre told us, while officials either ignore or fail to spot abuse and attacks.

In poignant scenes, Mak-Mak – an abandoned child with no ID – at first seen frightened but then beamed with delight as charity workers told him he was being taken from his caged pen to children's home in the countryside. 'Are there toys there?' was his first question.

'I saw humans on MARS 35 years ago': Said Former Nasa Employee In Her Revelation

Jackie, a former Nasa employee, told a US radio station that she saw two men wearing protective suits on the surface of the Red Planet, Mars, 35 years ago.

The lady insisted she had seen suited men running on the surface of the Red Planet when she called up US radio station Coast to Coast AM.

"They came over the horizon walking to the Viking Explorer."

Jackie also told the radio station that six other Nasa employees saw the two men walking and running on the surface of Mars, 140 million miles from Earth.

She added: "We ran upstairs – but they locked the door, and taped paper over the door so we couldn't see."

"My question is – were they our guys?"

The Viking Mars mission had two spacecraft, the Viking 1 and Viking 2.

Both spacecraft were launched within a few weeks of one another in 1970s.

Aliens have different eyes and nose from humans, but, Dr. Boyd said that they also have five fingers and five toes. Another difference of aliens to humans is their telepathic mind reading capability.

"They're able to use their own voice by telepathy to talk to you," he reveals.

Bushman said that they had dressed the aliens in dungarees so they could be grabbed when they started to float.
