Woman from India Marries a Dog to Cast Off Evil Spirit (Video)

Getting married is probably one of the best things a woman has been dreaming about. This occasion is very important for them specially because this would bind them to be with their husbands eternally. But what if this very important event in a woman's life gets ruined because she's about to marry a dog? Sounds weird and bizarre, eh?

Not in India! It has been a tradition in India that a woman needs to marry a dog once she gets to her 18th birth day. Locals said that it is the key to ward off a curse that her fellow villagers feared would cause the death of any man who married a woman.

Mangli Munda, the woman in the video, marries a stray pooch in accordance to this tradition. Munda said that she's not happy about what's happening. She found a stray dog and named it Sheru.

"I am not happy with this marriage,"  said Munda.
"The village elders told us that we should organize the wedding as soon as we can," Mundas father said to Barcroft TV.
"We had to make sure that the evil spell is destroyed," he added.

Good thing, Munda's life will actually not gonna get totally ruined. That's right! This dog wedding is just a ceremony and it's not legally binding. Munda will have the chance to marry a human male anytime that she wants.
